Jo Lynn Graham Welch, our beloved wife, mother, daughter, sister, granddaughter and friend, left this earthly home to return to her heavenly Father on Monday, Jan. 3, 2011. We lost "our Jo" unexpectedly due to a sudden illness. Jo passed through our lives and left an imprint we will cherish forever. Funeral: 11 a.m. Saturday at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 3000 Old North Road, Denton. Interment: Roselawn Cemetery in Denton. Visitation: 9:45 to 10:45 a.m. Saturday at the church. Jo Lynn was born to her loving parents, Mike and Becky Graham, on June 8, 1979. She graduated from Ryan High School, class of 1998. Jo's dreams of a beautiful wedding on the beach in Santa Barbara, Calif., came true Dec. 28, 2002, when she married the love of her life, Clayton Welch. Their union was later sealed in the Dallas LDS Temple. They made goals and plans together, which included Jo's graduation from the University of North Texas in 2003. Jo supported and encouraged Clay's endeavors. She was his biggest cheerleader and optimistic mentor. The most important things in Jo's life weren't things, but the people she loved. That is evident in her home where she creatively documents her zest for life and the people she so freely loved in pictures. We appreciated her as the domestic diva she proclaimed herself to be. She loved to keep her house sparkling and bright. She was organized and disciplined. Jo could make a dollar squeak to stretch it further than possible. "Our Jo" was always cheerful, fun, loving, kind and patient. She was a beautiful, vivacious woman. She would do anything for anyone and do it with a smile on her face. Often the first to understand people's needs, she shared her talents and blessings with many of us. She was a strong woman. Throughout her life, she learned to turn lemons into lemonade on many occasions. She persevered through hardships without complaints. Jo took on the role of being caregiver to all of us. Our interests were always cared for first. She was the glue that made it all stick. Jo loved her family above all else. Her bubbly personality has been preserved in the sparkling eyes of her two beautiful children, Matthew, 6, and Paige, 2. They had the best mother two children ever had. She loved all of us as much as we loved her. She accepted our shortcomings and loved us all the more. Go in peace, sweet Jo. Survivors: Jo is survived by her loving husband, children, parents and grandparents, and in addition, her second family, the Welches, who claim her as their own.
I'm so sorry this tragedy happened. It breaks my heart!
